We are pleased to announce that the power has been restored to Punchbowl Primary School. We look forward to welcoming all our staff, students and families back tomorrow. We thank you for your understanding and patience over the last couple of days.

Dear Families

We would like to thank you very much for your support regarding the disruptions to our school program over the past two days. We also apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

We now have updates for you in relation to Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

Wednesday September 4

 We have been informed by TasNetworks, that our power outage has not yet been resolved, so our school will again be closed.

Our teachers will be providing learning tasks for our students via Seesaw and these will be available from 10.00am onwards. If you could please encourage your children to complete these that would be much appreciated.

Thursday September 5

Our school will be open on Thursday as we are being provided with a generator. This is good news and we look forward to our children returning to a school that is clean, warm and ready for learning.

Due to severe weather our school is without power this morning and will be closed today, Tuesday 3rd September.

Good Afternoon Families,

Our school is still without power this afternoon and we have been advised that if the school is without power at 7am tomorrow morning, Punchbowl Primary will be closed for the day.

We will communicate with all families just after 7am tomorrow morning (Tuesday 3rd September) to provide you with an update either way.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We need to inform you, that as a school community, we need to be vigilant regarding a stranger who has recently been spending time in the Punchbowl/Newstead area. This person is not connected to our school and has been observed following people, in our area, on several occasions.

If your child walks home independently, can we please ask you to consider them walking with an adult, if this is possible, or taking a route that is on main streets only.

If you or your child do see anyone behaving suspiciously the Police have advised that we call;

Police: 000  (if an emergency)
